Khio ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Khio AI accountability service (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service.
1. Information We Collect
To provide our AI accountability features, we collect the following:
- Personal Identifiers: Your phone number, name, and timezone.
- Communications: The text messages and images you send to our AI agent.
- Google User Data: If you choose to connect your Google Account, we access your Google Calendar events and (optionally) Gmail messages to provide scheduling assistance.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data solely to operate the Service:
- To send you proactive accountability reminders via SMS.
- To analyze your schedule and suggest task times (via Google Calendar).
- To generate AI responses using Large Language Models (LLMs).
3. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your data. We share data only with the infrastructure providers required to run the service:
- Google Gemini (LLM): To generate text responses.
- Twilio: To send and receive SMS messages.
- Supabase: To securely store your preferences and logs.
- Stripe: To process subscription payments (we do not store credit card info).
4. Google User Data - Limited Use Disclosure
Khio's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically:
- We only use Google Calendar/Gmail data to provide the accountability features you requested.
- We do not transfer this data to third parties for advertising.
- We do not use this data for lending or credit scoring purposes.
5. Data Retention
We retain your conversation logs to provide "Long-Term Memory" features (so the AI remembers your goals). You may request full deletion of your data at any time.
